The Glynn County School System has a centralized registration process for parents who are enrolling their child in school in Glynn County for the first time. Parents must visit the Central Registration office to register their child or children.
All new students entering Glynn County Schools must complete the registration process. Your child is considered a new student if one of the following applies to you:
Returning students who are currently enrolled do not need to re-register each year.
To register new students in grades K through 12th, begin the registration process by clicking here. Once completed, you will need to finalize registration at the Central Office, located at 5505 Altama Ave. in Brunswick, Ga.
Registration for new students typically opens in early spring and remains open throughout the year. For the 2025–2026 school year, families are encouraged to begin the registration process as early as possible to ensure placement and allow time to gather all required documents.
Exact registration dates and deadlines will be posted on the Glynn County Schools website and shared through district communication channels once available.
Parents/guardians will need to schedule an appointment for a registration session by visiting our Online Registration Calendar, and registration packets must be completed prior to the scheduled session.
Documents that will be requested when registering a new student include:
The DHR forms may be obtained from the health department or the child’s primary care provider. Parents who have medical or religious objections to immunizations or health screenings should contact the health department or a private physician for proper documentation.
If your residence changes within Glynn County after your child is enrolled, the parent or legal guardian must complete a Change of Address Form. Schools require this form before any updates can be made to a student’s address on file. The form should be presented to the school along with a current proof of residence and photo ID.
For more information about the Registration process, call the Central Registration Office at 912-280-4010.

Facility limitations and state guidelines currently cap Pre-K enrollment in Glynn County public schools at 470 students. These students are served at FACES (Family and Children’s Educational Services), the district’s Pre-K Center, as well as select elementary schools: Altama, Glyndale, Goodyear, Greer, Oglethorpe Point, Satilla Marsh, St. Simons, and Sterling. Pre-K is a full-day program that follows the regular school calendar.
The attendance of foreign exchange students in schools is recognized by the Glynn County School System as both an educational opportunity for local students and an expression of international goodwill. Applications must be submitted by June 1 for the fall semester or full academic year, and by December 1 for the spring semester. Applications will only be considered if space is available. For more information on international exchange students, please refer to our Board Policy. If you require additional details, contact the Student Services Department at shaywood@glynn.k12.ga.us.
Students who previously attended a Glynn County school and need a copy of their transcript must provide the Records Department with a signed Request for Transcript form and present their photo ID. Transcripts for students under the age of 18 may be picked up by a parent or legal guardian with valid photo ID and proof of guardianship. Transcripts for students aged 18 or older will be released directly to the student or mailed upon request. Please note: Glynn County does not fax transcripts or records. For privacy, Social Security numbers will be redacted from any transcripts not sent directly to a school.
Glynn Virtual Academy will not be available for the 2025–2026 school year. Parents interested in virtual learning are encouraged to explore alternative options such as Georgia Cyber Academy. Additional details about these programs can be found under the Family Resources tab on the Glynn County Schools district website. For questions or further assistance, please email studentservices@glynn.k12.ga.us.
As of July 1, 2012, House Bills 39 and 706 assign homeschool reporting duties to the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), which encourages parents to use its system to submit their Declaration of Intent and attendance records.
