Includes a curriculum that addresses the needs of all students in the domains of academic, personal/social and career development;Today's professional school counselors guide their students through three parallel paths that lead to one destination: success. Rather than providing a service just to students who need them, school counselors manage and monitor comprehensive programs for every student. The Glynn County Professional School Counseling Program is a standards-based comprehensive, data-driven program that:

• preventive in design;
• advocates for all students and enhances the ability of students to identify;
• creates positive relationships with students fostering personal growth, service to others, and academic achievement;
• utilizes the appropriate resources needed for college and career readiness;
• provides specialized interventions based on identified student needs; and
• ensures collaboration with other professional school counselors, educators, parents, and community stakeholders on behalf of all students.
• Professional school counselors are available at all three grade spans: elementary, middle and high school. Each grade span provides services to meet the varying developmental needs of all students.
• The Glynn County Professional School Counseling Department's mission is to provide a comprehensive academic, career and social/personal program leading to graduation and further life successes for all students.
• Through advocacy, leadership and collaboration, school counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to maximize potential and academic achievement. In partnership with our stakeholders, Glynn County School Counselors facilitate and coordinate a multi-tiered support system to ensure that all students are prepared and have access to the knowledge and skills necessary to become globally competitive, lifelong learners.
