I have two children, a son Lee Bennett 28, and a daughter Sara Bennett 23. My hobbies are traveling, hiking, reading and watching a variety of sports, particularly football (UGA) and golf.Why did you choose to work for Glynn County Schools?
I taught 2 years ago in Glynn and enjoyed the experience. I moved to another school closer to my home; however, missed Glynn Schools, friends, the beach and coastal living. -

GICCA is a bit of a homecoming since my office for my first job in the area at Altamaha Tech was located at GICCA. She will brush this compliment off but it was also the opportunity to work with Chef Laura whom I greatly respect. I also appreciate the fact that the entire mission at GICA is Career and Technical Education and that is priority one. -

I’ve always had a passion for working with children, and Glynn County Schools hold a special place in my heart. Both of my children went through the Glynn County school system, and we had such a positive experience. I saw firsthand the impact that caring educators can have, and it inspired me to be part of that same supportive community. Being able to give back and make a difference in the lives of students right here at home is something I’m truly proud of. -

I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood in Education, then I received my Master of Science in Education from Walden University.How long have you been in education and where did you work previously?
11 years. I worked for Evans County Schools for 11 years. Then, I moved back home to Brunswick for 7 years to be a stay at home mom. I began working again at Glynn County Schools as a substitute.Tell us about your family and any hobbies you have.
I was born and raised in Glynn County, and I graduated from Brunswick High School. I have been married for 19 years to my husband, Neil. We have 4 beautiful children that attend BHS, NMS and Greer. We also have a 2-year-old Lab/Retriever mix named, Cooper, that we have had for a year. I enjoy spending time with my family by cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. I also enjoy teaching children's music at church. I love to drink Dr. Pepper and to shop with two girls.What is an interesting fact about you?
I love to learn about family history.Why did you choose to work for Glynn County Schools?
I was educated in Glynn County and had several teachers that helped to shape my future. I want to do the same thing for other children within my hometown. I'm proud to be a BHS alumni and for my own children to be educated within the same school system that I was. -
