Each year, Glynn County Schools pauses to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary individuals who serve as the backbone of our educational community. Our annual Teacher of the Year and Support Professional of the Year Banquet is a premier event dedicated to celebrating the leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment of our staff. We gather together to honor the designated Teachers of the Year and Support Professionals from every school and department across the district. It is a prestigious evening where honorees, accompanied by a guest, join school administrators and district leadership to recognize the profound impact these educators and professionals have on our students and the community at large.

The evening is designed as a true celebration of talent and dedication. Guests enjoy a formal meal and live entertainment, creating an atmosphere of fellowship and appreciation. A highlight of the night is the individual recognition of each nominee; as they take the stage to receive a commemorative plaque, we celebrate the unique contributions that make them leaders within their respective buildings. The excitement reaches its peak during the grand finale of the program, when we officially announce who will represent us as the overall Glynn County Schools Teacher of the Year. This banquet is our way of saying thank you to the men and women who lead by example and inspire excellence every single day.
