Transcript Request

Your request will be processed in the order it is received. Record requests are normally processed in three to five business days. If you require special processing, please include detailed instructions on the form or call 912-280-4010.

Students who attended school in the Glynn County School System and need a copy of their transcript must provide the Records Department with:

1) A completed, signed copy of the Request for Transcript Form (below) and
2) A photocopy of their photo ID

Transcripts for students under the age of 18 can be picked up by their parent or legal guardian upon presenting photo ID and verification of guardianship.

Transcripts for students aged 18 or older will be released to the student or mailed (Glynn County does not fax transcripts or records). Social Security information will be redacted for all transcripts that are not mailed directly to a school.

A student aged 18 or older can have a designee pick up their transcript. The person who will pick up the transcript must be named on the Request for Transcript form and present a photo ID.

Directions for requesting copies of Section 504 records may be found on the Section 504 page.

Open Records Request

Under the Georgia Open Records Act (OCGA §50-18-70 to §50-18-77) all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law. If a government agency or custodian of public records withholds a public document from production under an Open Records Request, they will cite the provision of Georgia law that exempts the record from being produced.

All Open Records Requests to inspect or copy records must be made in writing to the Open Records Officer. The school district will provide information relating to the request, as permissible and applicable by law, within 3 business days after it has been received by the Open Records Officer. If production of the information is not possible within that timeframe, the Open Records Officer will issue correspondence with an explanation.
