Work Session Highlights
During the December work session, the Board reviewed several key updates and action items, including:
District Operations & Strategic Planning
During the December 11 work session, the Board conducted a thorough review of the district’s financial health and academic progress:
- Financial Reports: Reviewed the October 2025 Financial Report, General Fund financial report, and investment analysis for October.
- Strategic Planning: Conducted a overview of the district’s Strategic Plan and reviewed the 2024-25 CCRPI (College and Career Ready Performance Index) data.
- Safety & Welfare: Reviewed the most recent Gude Report.
Facilities & Construction Update
Progress continues on several major projects across the district:
- Glyndale Replacement School: The transformer has been set. Crews are continuing dirt work; Phase 2 is closing out, and Phase 3 footers are expected to begin soon.
- College of Coastal Georgia Performing Arts Center: New flooring has been installed and looks excellent. The estimated completion date has been adjusted to March 2026.
- Brunswick High School Football Field House: Sidewalks and curbs are being poured. Interior painting is nearly finished, windows and ceilings are complete, and rubber flooring is scheduled for installation next week.
- Board of Education Wing 4: Renovation is on track for completion in mid-January.

The Georgia Department of Education recognized several of our schools for exceptional achievement and growth in reading and mathematics:

We are proud to recognize four seniors who placed among the top test-takers in the nation:

Kara Nuque – National Merit Semifinalist (Top 1% of seniors in the nation)
Charles Clay & Clayton Owens – National Merit Commended Students
Glynn Academy:
Sam Herndon – National Merit Commended Student
