Glynn County Schools Nutrition Program Honored with Georgia Farm to School Award

School Nutrition Director Shelley Daniel proudly accepted the Georgia Farm to School Award during the Georgia Department of Education’s School Nutrition Program Directors’ Conference held last week in Athens, GA.
This prestigious award recognizes school systems that make a consistent effort to feature Georgia Grown food items on their menus, helping connect students to fresh, locally sourced foods while supporting farmers across the state.
Joining in the celebration were Richard Woods, State School Superintendent; Holly Thaw, Assistant State Director of the GaDOE School Nutrition Program; and Tyler Harper, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
Congratulations to Shelley Daniel and the entire School Nutrition team for their continued dedication to providing healthy, local, and delicious meals to Glynn County students every day!
