Nearly Perfect Graduation Rates for Glynn County Schools

Glynn County’s public high schools far outperformed the state average in 2024–2025, ranking among just 60 districts statewide to record graduation rates of 95% or higher.
Brunswick High School graduated all but one student in its four-year cohort, achieving an impressive 99.8% graduation rate. Glynn Academy followed closely behind, graduating all but seven students for a 98.4% rate. Together, these achievements pushed the district’s overall graduation rate to 99% — more than 11 percentage points above Georgia’s state average of 87.2%.
Superintendent Mike Blackerby credited the accomplishment to years of dedication from the entire school community. “We are extremely proud of the continued success of our high schools in achieving high graduation rates,” Mr. Blackerby said. “This accomplishment reflects the hard work and commitment of our students, teachers, and families. While our high schools certainly deserve recognition, our elementary and middle schools also play a vital role — laying the strong educational foundations that make high school success possible.”
