Brunswick High and Glynn Academy have been recognized statewide for their high achievement in student success. In the latest College Board report, both schools have been named 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools, joining an elite group of 104 school districts across the state. This recognition highlights their dedication to providing quality education and fostering academic achievement.

Brunswick High was named an AP Expansion School and AP STEM School. AP Expansion Schools are those where AP student participation has grown by at least 25 percent from May 2023 to May 2024, with a minimum of 25 students tested in May 2023.

Glynn Academy was recognized as an AP Humanities School, AP Humanities Achievement School, AP School of Distinction, AP STEM School, and AP STEM Achievement School. AP Humanities Schools are those with at least five exams administered in one ELA course, two social studies courses, one fine arts course, and one world language course, with a minimum of 25 total exams administered. AP Humanities Achievement Schools are those where at least 50% of all AP Humanities exams earn scores of 3 or higher.

AP Schools of Distinction are schools where at least 20 percent of the total student population took AP exams, and at least 50 percent of all AP exams earned scores of 3 or higher. AP STEM Schools are schools with a minimum of five students testing in at least four AP STEM courses and a minimum of 25 exams administered. AP STEM Achievement Schools are those where at least 50 percent of all AP STEM exams earn scores of 3 or higher.

The Georgia Department of Education’s annual list is comprised of eight categories based on the results of 2024 AP courses and exams: AP Access and Support Schools, AP Challenge Schools, AP Schools of Distinction, AP Expansion Schools, AP Humanities Schools, AP Humanities Achievement Schools, AP STEM Schools, and AP STEM Achievement Schools.
