Parker’s School Rewards Program Benefits Glynn Academy

In support of local schools, The Parker Companies has made a $1,011.25 contribution to the general fund at Glynn Academy. Parker’s contributes one penny from every gallon of gas sold on the first Wednesday of each month to local schools. Patrick Parker, president of The Parker Companies, said the money is pooled from sales at 11 different Parker’s locations in southeast Georgia. Customers who have a PumpPerks card from Parker’s can nominate their favorite school when they enroll online for the discount gas program.
“Now in its twelfth year, our School Rewards Program is just one way we’re partnering with our customers to give back to the community,” said Parker who noted that PumpPerks allows his company to save on processing fees charged by credit card companies. “We’re passing that savings on to our customers who have a free PumpPerks card. We would rather keep this money in our community to help our customers and reward our local schools,” he added.
Glynn Academy Principal Matthew Blackstone said the discretionary funds from Parker’s will be used for non-funded items that benefit students and teachers.
“We are very appreciative of Parker’s continuing support for our local schools. Thanks to great corporate neighbors like Parker’s, we can provide additional opportunities for our students and staff,” said Blackstone. “Patrick is a strong supporter of education and it shows,” he added.
School Rewards
At Parker’s, we understand that education has the power to transform lives. That’s why one cent from every gallon of gas we sell on the first Wednesday of the month is donated to local schools. We’re proud to be headquartered in Glynn County…and giving back to our community.
