Pirates playing host to Greenbrier for Homecoming

Game Preview
The Pirates will be looking for their second straight win to start the Region 1-AAAAAA schedule as they play host to Greenbrier Friday night at Glynn County Stadium.
The game will be the annual Homecoming contest for BHS as well.
Brunswick (2-2) opened its region schedule last Friday with a 38-14 win at Grovetown in Augusta. The Wolfpack dropped their league opener last Friday at South Effingham, falling 28-21 to the Mustangs after leading by 13 points at halftime.
Greenbrier (1-3) lost its season-opener 30-14 to Burke County at home before knocking off Evans 42-35 the next week away from home.
The Pack then lost to Harlem by 21-14 before taking off South Effingham (4-0) last Friday in Guyton.
Last week, South Effingham running back Khyran White rushed for 190 yards on 23 carries against the Wolfpack. Brunswick has two senior runners in Nigel Gardner and Josiah Gibbons who could have big nights in this game.
Gardner is averaging 97.5 yards a game and 8.5 yards a carry. For the season, he has rushed for 390 yards on 46 carries.
Gibbons is averaging 80 yards a game and 10 yards per attempt. For the season, he has carried for 320 yards on 32 attempts.
Senior quarterback Keygan Walker has passed for 712 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Pirates.
Defensive leaders for Brunswick include linebackers Braylon Johnson and Antwan Thomas along with defensive back Samir Dobbins.
