In preparation for New Substitute Orientation, there are a few items you can go ahead and take care of:

- Background Check (required for all staff including substitute teachers): Background Check Form
Your consent granting Glynn County Schools permission to perform fingerprinting and criminal background check services must be completed, reviewed, and signed prior to the Fingerprint Background Check service being rendered. We offer in-house fingerprinting for your background check to be completed. The cost will be $43.25 payable via cash (correct change), a Cashier’s Check, or Money Order only (Made out to Glynn County Schools). No personal checks can be accepted. YOU MUST HAVE PAYMENT WITH YOU AT THE TIME OF FINGERPRINTING. Please look for an email regarding fingerprinting dates and times.

- All subs are mandated reporters and required to complete this one-hour Mandated Reporter training. There is a short quiz at the end. You will need to complete the training and print out your certificate. Bring the certificate with you to Orientation. I have attached step by step directions on how to take the FREE training course. The link for directions can be found here: Steps

Step 4 – Attend Orientation:
On the day of Orientation, please bring the following with you:
- Driver’s License and Social Security Card

Once you complete orientation, your 4 hours of observations (if applicable), and have been processed by Human Resources (may take up to 10 business days), you will be notified to come back to the Board of Education office to obtain your Identification Badge. The badge will allow you to gain access to our schools in order to begin subbing. At the same time, you will be entered into Frontline which is our Substitute Management System. You will receive an email which will allow you to activate your account.

You will also be contacted by Christy Jones in technology to attend a technology session for substitutes. Once you complete the Substitute Orientation and technology session, you will be paid a $100 stipend. In order to receive the stipend, you MUST complete the hiring process.
