Family: I have been married to my beautiful wife for 28 years. We have 2 daughters, Hannah, 22, and Sarah, 17. My stepson Aaron is 33, and lives in Atlanta.

Who is your role model? My wife is my role model. She has been a teacher for many years and is why I got into Education. She always enjoyed teaching, and piqued my interest in education. She is my rock and my best friend.

What book has most influenced you? The one book I read every day is the Bible, as it gives me comfort and knowledge.

What is your greatest teaching memory? Any time a struggling student tells me they finally “get it” is my favorite memory. I also really enjoy the times when a former student tells me about a time I may have helped them in some small way.

What is your favorite quote or personal motto? It is what it is. I have used this one for a long time. To me, it means to take something good from every situation in life. Always look for the bright side, because the other side leads nowhere good.

What is a fact about you that most people don't know? Most people don’t know that I originally wanted to be an Aerospace Engineer. I wanted to design airplanes.

Any hidden talents or hobbies? I really enjoy photography, mostly sports action shots. I like taking portraits as well.
