Welcome to School Nutrition!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The School Nutrition department is made up of a team of professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

A choice of nutritionally balanced meals are available daily to every student in Glynn County's public schools. In addition to lunch, a light breakfast is also available each morning. All meals served must meet nutrition standards established by USDA. If a child has a disability, as determined by a doctor, which prevents the child from eating the regular school meal, the school will make substitutions prescribed by the doctor. There will be no extra charge for the substitute meal. Please note, however, that the school is not required to make a substitution for a food allergy, unless it meets the definition of disability.

Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) are assigned to students. Please deposit funds into your child's cafeteria account. You may make a deposit by sending money (checks preferred) in an envelope marked with the child's name, PIN and amount of deposit, or you may go online to https://www.schoolcafe.com/GlynnCounty and use a credit or debit card to enter money in to your students account. Ala Carte items cannot be charged. Please make sure you child has money in their account for any extra items that he or she may purchase. If your child chooses to eat school lunch, you can be assured that he or she is receiving a meal that has been carefully planned to meet the nutritional requirements for his or her age group. School meals provide nourishment that contributes to a student's growth, physical performance and academic achievement.
