GMS Cheerleading Tryouts

4/21/2021, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM

All cheerleaders must have a completed current physical and concussion paperwork on file to try out and must have their own insurance before they can begin to participate in practice.

Grades- please submit a copy of your current grade report.

All potential cheerleader must turn in a 5 teacher recommendations.

Both potential cheerleaders and parents must read and sign the cheer constitution.

ALL paperwork (constitution, teacher evaluations, & physical) are due by Thursday April 15th in order to tryout.

On Wednesday for tryouts, please wear a white t-shirt with no logo of any kind and black shorts.

In the constitution on page 3, you will find the overall judging guidelines.

Cheer is a time commitment. All cheerleaders are expected to cheer at all football and basketball games. Those run from August 2021 until February 2022. Before you tryout, please take into consideration your schedule and make sure that cheer is a time commitment that you can take on.

Cheer is a financial commitment. Cheerleading carries a large financial cost. Please be aware of this. We will do as much as possible to keep cost down this year, but it is still expensive.
