Glynn Virtual Academy

Due to the COVID pandemic, we understand that some parents would like the opportunity to have their child(ren) attend school under a virtual option. We are re-opening the Glynn Virtual Academy application for any student who would like to apply.

The Glynn Virtual Academy application window will be open from Wednesday, September 1, 2021, to the close of business on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Completing this application is the first step in the enrollment process.

All academic history, including attendance, will be reviewed as part of the approval process for Glynn Virtual Academy. An IEP meeting held prior to enrollment at GVA is required for any student currently receiving special education services.

Virtual School is a semester-long commitment by the student. Middle and High School students will be served using the Edgenuity platform, a self-paced study program. K-5 students will be expected to attend live instruction in google classroom during the school day and will be assigned a virtual learning teacher. The teacher assigned may or may not be from the student's home school.

This application will need to be completed for each child you wish to enroll in virtual school. To apply for virtual school, the student must have access to reliable internet at home. If you have any questions about the process, please email:

All district assessments, final exams, and Georgia Milestones testing will be administered in person.

District-provided devices (i.e. laptops) will be available.
