Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

A Free and Confidential Benefit
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offered to Glynn County School System Employees provides you and your family with free and confidential assessments, referrals, and counseling. Deer Oaks EAP Services is available at any time and can assist with your work-related concerns, personal problems, and other issues affecting your well-being.

You and your dependents are eligible to receive up to six (6) confidential short-term counseling sessions per person, per separate issue, per year. Counselors are able to assist with many different types of issues, such as stress, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marital/familial conflicts, grief, violence, and unhealthy lifestyles, to name a few.  The EAP will also provide additional assistance, tools, resources, and referrals for:
    • Childcare/Eldercare Resource and Referrals
    • Consultations for Financial and Legal Issues
    • Child and Parenting Support Services
    • College Resources/Checklists
    • Balancing Life and Work

The service is staffed by a team of highly trained and qualified professionals who are experts in fields such as well-being, family matters, relationships, debt management, employment issues, consumer rights, and much more. For in-person counseling, the EAP will coordinate a referral to an in-network affiliate provider near you. For issues that require longer-term support or that fall outside of the scope of the EAP, Deer Oaks will coordinate with Glynn County Schools or the employee's healthcare plan for referral assistance through the medical benefit.

In addition to counseling, you may also access telephonic life/career coaching, financial consultation, legal support, and work-life resources and referrals to help you manage family responsibilities or daily living. Please call the EAP toll-free helpline at 888-993-7650 for more information or a referral. Online tools are available at www.deeroakseap.com or through the iConnectYou app.

Glynn County Schools is committed to the health and well-being of employees and their dependent members, and encourages the utilization of this important benefit for health, wellness, financial fitness, and decreased daily stress.
