Work Permit for Minors 14 &15 Years of Age

Minors who are 14 or 15 years old and who wish to work must first obtain a work permit (not required for those 16 or 17 years old).  Work permits are available at the Glynn County Schools Administrative Offices located at 1313 Egmont Street in Brunswick.

The minor must complete the first section of the work permit (available below under "Related Files") and the employer must complete the second section.  The minor must then return the work permit to the Glynn County Schools Administrative Offices along with a copy of his/her official birth certificate.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) Child Labor section administers and monitors the guidelines and restrictions for the employment of youth who have not yet reached their 18th birthday.  For more information, click the link below under "Related Links."
