GCSS COVID-19 Preventive Measures

As we prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, Glynn County Schools will continue to monitor the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and evaluate how best to meet the individual learning needs of all students.
In our continued efforts to remain open, accessible and transparent to our schools and the public, we have updated our COVID-19 Information page on the district website to reflect the new changes that will be implemented in the upcoming school year. This includes an overview of our COVID-19 preventive measures, return-to-school framework, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.
These tools, which are a byproduct of input and feedback from various stakeholders and guidance from the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), address numerous areas that will affect day-to-day school operations.

Please keep in mind this is a working draft copy and may be updated as new information becomes available. As always, we will provide updates on our website,, through the One Call Now automated calling system, and on our social media platforms. To ensure that you receive these important messages, please make sure your child’s school has your current contact info on file.

We are grateful for your continuous support and look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Tuesday, Aug. 10.
NOTE: The nature of this pandemic is evolving every day, and our action plans could be adjusted to meet the needs of our community at any time.
