The Glynn Academy tennis teams kept their perfect Region 2-6A records intact ahead of this weekend’s Jekyll Jam by sweeping matches against Bradwell Institute on Tuesday at the GA tennis courts.
Glynn Academy wrestler Jackson Wakeland has only been wrestling for about two and a half years, but that didn’t stop him from becoming the Terror’s first-ever state champion wrestler — only the second in Glynn County.
This past weekend, Brunswick High’s wrestling team competed at the GHSA 6A State Tournament in Macon, where the Pirates had all 10 of their wrestlers make it to the state quarterfinals.
The Sterling students were gathered to prepare for the upcoming Virtual Elementary Honor Chorus, for which they will each record their own performances that will be blended with those of 100 students across the state.

The message coming from the Brunswick High football program has been consistent for years now: It’s all about the family. The Pirate family turned out in droves Wednesday to watch nine seniors ink letters of intent in the school’s auditorium on national signing day.
The virtual career panels, called “Brunswick & Beyond,” are sponsored by the Pirate Foundation, a nonprofit that supports students at Brunswick High. They are planned for 6:30 p.m. each Monday in February.
Schools will be closed for in-person and virtual students on Friday, Feb. 12th (Teacher Planning Day) and Monday, Feb. 15th in observance of Presidents' Day.
