1. Go to the BHS Home Page and click on the Media Center link on the main menu.

2. Under Media Center click on Conducting Research.

3. This is the Web Page for how to do a RESEARCH paper. Scroll down towards the bottom of this page and there are tips on how to write the paper, how to do a bibliography, and use MLA format when citing your resources.

IMPORTANT

4. There is also a guide to Plagiarism. Make sure you NEVER copy and use other people’s words. If you copy and paste information into a WORD document to take notes when you start writing your paper you MUST put it in your own words or give credit to actual quotes that you use.

5. The last link on this page is a web site from called,

7. This is the page that will lead you to web pages for lots of information on the career that you choose. Scroll down to you see “PURCHASED ONLINE RESEARCH DATABASES”.

8. If you want to find the best and most accurate information on your career go to these two sites and explore the career that you have chosen.

9. Take notes in a open WORD document and save it in your PIN folder on the U: drive.

10. Do not go to a search engine like Google or Yahoo unless told to by your teacher or media specialist.
