Information Please Almanac - If you can tolerate the ads, this is an excellent source of information; an online version of the popular almanac which you can browse by category or search for specific information. It also includes the Random House Webster's collect Dictionary and the Columbia Encyclopedia, quick facts and figures, quizzes, current fads, links to the news, weather.
